5th graders

5th graders are SO funny! Picture this, a group of children working on projects in the library. Then one looks up and whispers, "Hey, so do you all know what rainbow really means?" Chairs quickly scoot closer. Then the one who knows the super secret meaning of rainbow, utters, "gay". Mouths drop, and there is a flurry of, "NO!"'s "it must not be true''s and utter silence. Children are so amusing, and that is my random revelation for the day.

    Three children sat innocently working on a powerpoint presentation.

    The first child says, "Do you know what a rainbow means?"
    The second replies, "No! What does it mean?"
    The three scoot their chairs close to each other.
    "Gay."
    A quiet gasp.
    A shaking of the head.
    "You're lying!"
    "I'm serious guys."

    All in in the school library.
